Moving food from a source of conflict to a source of nourishment and understanding the psychology around your cravings is important. It starts in your mind with mindful preparation of your day and its plan for eating.
In the book Nourishing Wisdom: A Mind-Body Approach to Nutrition and Well-Being, we are challenged to seek what happens when we eat rather than what we are eating. How do the thoughts we have affect our bodies? How wet eat and our attitude towards it reflects our attitude towards life itself. We learn how to bypass our mindless habits, which equate to many poor eating behaviors we need to change and replace.
