Congratulations on making the decision to change your life through better nutrition and healthier habits!  You will never make a better investment than putting time and resources into yourself.

 

As you move into your journey KKW is going to try to equip you with everything you need to succeed.  But there are some items you can purchase for yourself that will make this process easier. This list has been collected from a combination of coaches feedback and the opinions of the almost 500 people in the KKW Subscription Facebook Room!  

 

We have divided this list into two sections- the “must haves” and the “good to haves” based on this feedback.  Take a look around- you might find a tool to make help you on your way!

 

Must Haves

 

Blender Bottle-  You will need this to mix your protein powder.  They come in multiple sizes and colors. We recommend getting at least two of them so you don’t have to keep cleaning the same one over and over again.  It’s always good to have a spare.

 

Etekcity Food Digital Scale (usually around $13 with excellent feedback)- You will need a food scale to measure many of your ingredients

 

Insulated Bag for Meals- these range in price greatly depending on size and features.  Here are a few recommended by our users specifically:

 

6 Pack FItness Bags- These come in a variety of sizes including 3 meal and 6 meal sizes. Some even have pockets for blender bottles.  

 

Arctic Zone Lunch Boxes- These are highly recommended because the pieces they have inside the fit together and the ice packs are specifically designed for these containers.  The insulation works great, your food stays cold and they are all dishwasher safe.

 

Think Fit Lunch Boxes- Highly rated with tons of extra containers including pill box, shaker cups, ice packs, portion control containers and more!  

 

Meal Storage Containers- Here is an article on finding the best meal prep containers for you!  

 

Measuring Cups- Many to pick from- choose whatever you like!  I do suggest finding some that won’t melt if you leave them on the burner though (lesson learned the hard way).

Silicone Muffin Pans- make sure they are the proper size for your recipe from your coach! 

 

Water Bottle- There are as many types of water bottles as there are flavorings to add in them.  You can choose your size based on size, shape, materials and the nozzle. Some people prefer to have one large bottle, some a bottle with markings on the side to track ounces and time and some prefer something insulated.  

 

Good To Haves

 

Air Fryer- This is the newest “must have” kitchen gadget and for good reason- people are raving!  Make potatoes with crunch without using so much oil! You can cook vegetables in minutes!

 

Dash Rapid Egg Cooker- 6 Egg Capacity- Use for perfect scrambled, poached, hard boiled eggs or omelets.  This allows you to make eggs on the go!

 

Hot Logic-  This is a portable meal heater!  If you prefer to eat your prepped meal warm you just plug this in and in no time your meal is ready to go.  

 

Instant Pot- While some of our members find this intimidating the ones who use the Instant Pot RAVE about it.  For meat (quickly cooked from frozen), rice, vegetables and eggs you won’t find any other way to cook them faster.  

 

Meat Thermometer- If your meal plan involves meat and you want to grill or bake it a meat thermometer is a must!  You can find simple ones with easy readers and some of them have apps so you can track your meat temperature from anywhere in the house! 

 

Nutriibullet NBR-1201 12 Piece High Speed Blender/Mixer System (Coach K’s favorite- she uses atleast 7 times a week)- If you plan on making smoothies part of your plan you will need a good blender!  This is the best!  

 

Premium Glass Bottle with Non-Aerosol Olive Oil Mister and Cooking Sprayer- This specifically recommended model can work great to help control portions of olive oil in your nutrition plan. 

 

Pyrex Glass Containers for Food Storage- Many KKW members prefer to keep their prepared ingredients in glass containers rather than plastic.  No one does that better than Pyrex!  

 

Reynolds Kitchens Slow Cooker Liners- If you use a crock pot to cook any part of your meal plan these are the way to go.  They keep the crock pot clean to save time!
