Chrissy Shuey

Coach

Chrissy Shuey grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and began her love of ballet and dancing at the age of three. Her love of dance evolved into sports and athletics, which led to receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine and a BA in psychology from Duquesne University in 2002. Chrissy continued on to earn her Master's Degree in Rehabilitative Science from Clarion University in 2004.

Licensed as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association, Chrissy has worked with athletes on every level - from clinical to professional - for almost 20 years. Chrissy received her personal trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2017 and later began teaching Zumba classes the same year.

Seeking a way to continue to challenge herself personally, she reached out to KKW in 2018 to enter her first competitive bodybuilding competition before turning 40. “I wanted to prove to myself that I could do anything I put my mind to,” says Chrissy. More than anything, Chrissy loves helping others realize their own personal health and wellness goals, and she enjoys supporting them to find that “inner roar” of strength to do anything they put their mind to doing.

Chrissy lives in Williamsburg, VA, with her husband and two daughters. She loves spending time outdoors with her family and her pets. She is strong in her faith and feels the support she receives from her family is what keeps her grounded. Chrissy aspires to guide others in building a confident lifestyle of balanced nutrition and exercise.
